Prague is, without a doubt, one of THE most beautiful cities I have ever visited. I know at this point that calling a place beautiful doesn’t really mean that much, but there really is no other way to describe the place. It’s just… beautiful. Going through my Prague pictures definitely reaffirmed that for me.
Daniel and I found ourselves in Prague for just two short days last month, and every time we turned the corner you could hear us both whisper “wow” under our breaths. And we’ve both seen some pretty beautiful places.
Because a picture is worth a thousand words and I’m totally incapable of explaining what it is about Prague that makes it so special, I thought I’d just skip the words entirely and present you with 21 Prague pictures I think perfectly encapsulate its beauty.

Prague Castle Photos
One of your very first stops in Prague should, without a doubt, be Prague Castle. Why? Well, it’s one of the largest castle complexes in the world, for one. It’s also located way up on a hill, which means you’ll get views over Prague like this:
Prague Castle is so much more than a castle, too. Sure, you can go inside a small part of the old castle. But some of the biggest attractions are actually the various churches and cathedrals in the complex, like the straight-up stunning St. Vitus Cathedral, and the Golden Lane, one of the prettiest rows of brightly colored houses I’ve ever seen. TBH, I might choose to live on Golden Lane over the Castle itself.
Old Town Hall & Square Photos
The Old Town Square and Astronomical Clock are two more highly-trafficked tourist spots in Prague–and for good reason. Like the rest of Prague, they’re beautiful (are you tired of me saying that Prague is beautiful yet?).
Unfortunately, I visited Prague while the Astronomical Clock was under restoration, so I wasn’t able to get any beautiful photos of it. But no matter. Because if you’re looking for beautiful Prague pictures, the top of the clock tower itself is the place to go.
If you can, try to time your visit to the top of the clock tower to match up with the sunset. Aside from the one in Monteverde, I don’t think I’ve ever seen a more photo-worthy sunset.

Charles Bridge Photos
The Charles Bridge just so happens to conveniently connect the Prague Castle and Old Town Square. It’s also beautiful (like everything else, I seriously need to come up with a new word), so it’s no wonder why the bridge makes up the Prague Tourist Trifecta.
To truly capture the beauty of the place, though, you’ll need to visit early in the morning–before everyone else is awake. That way, you find yourself there while it’s still relatively empty. AND it just might be golden hour!
Miscellaneous Prague Pictures
With only two days, a lot of what we did was hitting up the top tourist hotspots. But we also had the chance to venture off the beaten track every once and a while and find some true gems. Like Petrin Tower, which is perched on top of a steep hill and provides sweeping views over Prague. There’s a tram that goes up to the top of the hill but, like idiots, we decided to walk it to save some money.
One of the biggest highlights of our time in Prague was the Bright and Early Breakfast Tour we took with Naked Tour Guide Prague. It helped me capture those pictures of an almost empty Charles Bridge from earlier, and also meant we got to see streets like this one, which aisnormally clogged with tourists, with almost no one there.
The food was another serious highlight. When it’s cold outside (we were there in February) there is honestly nothing like a piping hot plate of goulash and bread dumplings to warm you up.
Quirky Prague Pictures
Finally, we explored some of the quirkier sides of Prague, beginning with the Lennon Wall. After John Lennon was murdered, an image of his face was painted on this wall. Ever since then, it has been an outlet for political graffiti and Beatles lyrics. In recent years, it’s also become an Instagram hotspot, so you’ll need to beware all the basic white girls (not that I’m not one, too) if you find yourself nearby–for the full story, check out my own Lennon Wall Insta (and follow me while you’re at it, *wink wink*)
The second quirky stop? Well, as German students, we would have been remiss to NOT visit the Franz Kafka Museum. The fountain of two guys peeing into a pool shaped like the Czech Republic was just an added bonus.
